HSE Manager

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager for a contractor role in Raum Bielefeld, Germany, to oversee health and safety on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HSE contact person on the construction site
• Implement project-related HSE requirements across all activities
• Support all contractors regarding RAMS, LRA, TBXT, and monthly safety meetings
• Serve as the interface between client HSE representatives, contractors, and project stakeholders - and with the end customer if necessary
• Collaborate with the appointed Safety and Health Coordinator (SiGeKo)
• Contribute to the clear assignment of HSE responsibilities for all parties involved
• Prepare and review HSE documentation
• Regularly conduct inspections, audits, and safety rounds
• Instruct subcontractors during the commissioning phase

Requirements

Must-haves

• Proven experience in an HSE role on German construction or energy projects
• Excellent knowledge of German HSE legislation and the regulatory framework, including Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction Site Ordinance, and DGUV regulations
• Experience in working with contractors in the construction environment
• Experience in working with a SiGeKo
• Fluent in German and English

Nice-to-haves

• Certification as a Safety Officer (SiFa) or equivalent qualification
• Experience with medium and high voltage
