About the Position
ICONIC21 is looking for an Internal Audit Specialist to provide independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management, and compliance framework.
In this role, you will lead risk-based reviews across financial, operational, regulatory, and IT areas, identify control weaknesses and compliance gaps, and partner with management to turn findings into practical, effective remediation plans. You'll act as a trusted advisor to the business, helping strengthen governance and supporting the company's sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Build the internal audit function from scratch, including all processes and documentation.
- Perform audits and control reviews across functions, legal entities, studios, and locations.
- Identify control deficiencies, compliance gaps, operational inefficiencies, fraud risks, and other areas of exposure.
- Maintain audit documentation, testing evidence, and working papers.
- Review compliance with gaming regulations, license conditions, technical standards, and internal policies.
- Review controls ensuring the integrity, security, and proper operation of activities.
- Review adherence to approved game procedures and internal operating standards.
- Review user and privileged access management, segregation of duties, and periodic access reviews.
- Assess controls over granting, changing, and terminating system access.
- Review IT change management and system development controls.
- Review financial processes.
- Review policies and the internal control framework.
- Prepare audit reports and follow up on remediation.
Requirements
- Experience in the gaming industry.
- 3+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, internal controls, or risk management.
- Big 4 background (EY or PwC preferred).
- Solid understanding of IFRS and the IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.
- Familiarity with gaming regulatory environments such as UKGC and AGCO.
- Understanding of IT general controls, information security, access management, and change management.
- Business-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ISO 27001 certification implementation.
- ACCA or CIA (IIA) certification.
