IT Asset Management Associate

About the Position

Cognizant is seeking an IT Asset Management Associate for a full-time opportunity in Detroit, MI. The qualified candidate will be the Central SPOC for managing IT assets (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across the USA & Canada. The role will be responsible for inventory, logistics, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management covering Laptops, Desktops, printers, factory PCs/devices, and spare parts.

Responsibilities

• Central SPOC for managing IT assets (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across USA & Canada
• Covers laptops, Desktops, printers, factory PCs/devices, and spare parts
• Responsible for inventory, logistics, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management
• Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle (procurement → deployment → tracking → disposal)
• Maintain accurate asset inventory in ITSM/CMDB tools
• Handle receiving, shipping, and tracking of devices and spares across locations
• Monitor stock levels and trigger hardware/spare ordering (DaaS & Non-DaaS)
• Coordinate device imaging, staging, and deployment readiness
• Act as SPOC for logistics coordination with warehouses, sites, and vendors
• Manage vendor/OEM coordination for hardware break-fix issues
• Track and manage warranty status (in-warranty & out-of-warranty)
• Provide basic troubleshooting support (laptops, printers, peripherals)
• Execute secure asset disposal and maintain compliance records.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of IT Asset Management experience using End user hardware and software, Tracking, reporting, life-cycle management, and attention to details.
• 2 to 3 years of ITShop, Service Now, and CMDB experience.
• Experience with Vendor Consolidation and Logistics Management.
