About the Position

IT Backup Engineer (m/w/d)

interface systems GmbH, a leading IT service provider, is seeking a dedicated IT Backup Engineer to join our team in Dresden, Germany. If you are passionate about backup solutions and have a knack for innovative problem-solving, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Backup Management: Handle backup requirements, connect and configure various backup systems.
• Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and optimize backup strategies for customer projects.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of backup environments, conduct new installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure Planning: Plan and enhance backup infrastructure, manage projects, and maintain system documentation.
• Error Analysis: Analyze and document errors, provide solutions and support to clients.
• Implementation: Implement backup solutions, particularly with Veritas and Veeam.

Requirements

• Education: Completed studies in IT or vocational training (IT-Systemelektroniker, Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) with initial work experience.
• Experience: Proficiency in administering and operating IT solutions from manufacturers such as VMWare, Dell Server, NetApp-Storage, Veeam-Backup, and Microsoft Server.
• Skills: Self-motivated, team-oriented, high learning ability, professional and solution-oriented communication with decision-makers.
• Certifications: ITIL, Veeam, or NetApp certifications required (can be obtained within the first 6 months).
• Languages: Fluent in German and good English skills.
