We are seeking a proactive IT System Administrator to join our team. You will manage and optimize our IT infrastructure, ensuring systems, networks, and services are secure, reliable, and efficient. Your expertise will support various teams, provide technical assistance to end-users, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role is key to maintaining a smooth and effective IT environment, contributing to the organization's overall success.

Responsibilities

  • System Management & Administration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, server hardware, and software applications, ensuring system configurations align with organizational policies and industry best practices. Regularly update, patch, and upgrade systems to maintain security and functionality.

  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability continuously. Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users or operations. Optimize system performance through tuning configurations, hardware upgrades, and process improvements.

  • Security & Compliance: Implement and manage robust security measures to safeguard IT systems, applications, and data. Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and apply security patches. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability. Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to ensure effective execution in case of emergencies.

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support to resolve system-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems. Collaborate with other departments to provide system administration expertise and support technical projects.

  • Collaboration & Project Support: Assist with system migrations, upgrades, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless integration. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives, ensuring system scalability, and maintaining system reliability.

Requirements

  • Experience & Expertise: 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator in large-scale or complex environments. Strong proficiency in administering both Windows and Linux server environments.

  • Virtualization & Cloud Knowledge: Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Core Services Management: Expertise in managing core services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and task management. Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage systems and backup tools such as Veeam.

  • System Optimization & Monitoring: In-depth knowledge of system performance monitoring tools and optimization techniques.

  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently. Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical reporting and user support.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in IT support, networking, or operating systems will be considered as a plus.
  • Streaming Equipment Experience: Familiarity with streaming and broadcasting equipment is an advantage.
