About the Role

Boeing Defence Australia is now seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the P-8A Poseidon team based at RAAF Base Edinburgh. In this role, you will manage and maintain a diverse range of complex IT systems that help keep our military customer mission ready.

Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator, you will:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT/OT infrastructure components.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
Carry out patching and system hardening activities.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware issues.
Monitor backup and disaster recovery protocols.
Document and track system configurations.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with:

Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (Cisco, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of cyber security practices.
Familiarity with ticketing systems.
Ability to obtain NV2.

Please note: This role includes shiftwork, so we encourage applications from candidates who are comfortable and available to work rotating or assigned shifts.
