(Junior) Finance Manager / Controller / Buchhalter (m/w/d) Mietwagen

About the Position

We are seeking a (Junior) Finance Manager / Controller / Buchhalter (m/w/d) for our car rental comparison service, CHECK24 Mietwagen. This role offers a dynamic environment with growth opportunities and innovative finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Team Collaboration: Actively participate in the Finance Team and collaborate closely with other teams such as Central Accounting, Product Management, and Partner Management.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Independently manage the accounts receivable for the car rental sector, including dunning, and oversee key performance indicators for company management during monthly and annual closings.
• Product Improvement: Ensure that new business models or innovative products are processed correctly and efficiently in the finance department. Develop the financial and controlling perspective, identifying potential for AI/ML-supported solutions for process automation and optimization. Conceptually contribute to the design of future financial and controlling processes, especially regarding payment methods for customers and billing with international partners.
• Idea Implementation: Contribute valuable ideas for process optimization and participate in strategic controlling projects to enhance the entire finance department. Actively shape future financial and controlling tools and processes, working conceptually and coordinating closely with product management and IT.
• Quality Assurance: Independently manage invoice verification and quality assurance of our billing process, optimize financial reporting (including content verification of contract-compliant billing), and create analyses and decision templates for management and the executive board.

Requirements

• Education: Excellently completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification as an accountant (m/w/d) or similar, further education as a statutory auditor (m/w/d) or similar.
• Practical Experience: Initial experience in accounting, controlling, or accounting.
• Smart Problem Solving: Quick comprehension to understand complex relationships and a hands-on mentality to find and implement practical solutions promptly.
• Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Analytical thinking and affinity for numbers, along with a responsible, accurate, and solution-oriented approach.
• Drive and Communication: Strong communication skills and teamwork to ensure quick and constructive coordination with various stakeholders in a dynamic environment and achieve measurable results swiftly.
• Tools: Proficient use of MS Office, especially advanced skills in Excel. Initial experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and Microsoft Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
• Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
