About the Position

We are looking for a Junior/Middle Firmware Engineer to join our team in Lviv. You will develop firmware for microcontrollers and work on low-level debugging.

Project Summary

Domain: Physical access control / smart lock hardware

Scope: Embedded firmware development for battery-powered, wirelessly connected lock/access-control devices, covering low-level peripheral control, secure credential handling (BLE/NFC-based mobile and card access), and integration with cloud reporting/OTA infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop firmware for microcontrollers.
Support board bring-up and low-level debugging.
Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency.
Contribute to firmware architecture and coding standards.
Work closely with the technical writer to ensure the code is properly documented.

Requirements

1+ years of professional experience
BS in CS/EE/CE or equivalent practical experience.
Strong C/C++ for microcontrollers.
Peripheral-level work - I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO
Debugging tooling - JTAG/SWD, logic analyzer, oscilloscope.
Git-based workflow, code review discipline
English B1+
Willingness to work closely with the firmware & hardware team
Participate and communicate politely at daily meetings (minimum 1-2 hours per day)
Comfortable working in a distributed team across time zones
