About the Position
Key Account Manager (f/m/d)
We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our team at Instagrid, a company at the forefront of creating advanced portable power supplies. As a Key Account Manager, you will be the main point of contact for our major national customers, ensuring they get the most from our products and helping us grow our business with them.
This is a fully remote role with regular travel to visit customers on site across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Owning key account relationships: Act as the primary contact for your customers and build strong relationships with decision-makers across each account.
- Delivering framework agreements: Put negotiated agreements into practice, so every customer branch has a positive experience.
- Growing within your accounts: Expand your network and promote existing and new applications across their business units.
- Enabling adoption: Provide product training and support that make our products easy to use, and drive high utilisation.
- Forecasting and performance: Keep accurate forecasts and manage your accounts for units sold and margin.
- Moving into distribution: Help shape and take on the management of distribution partners.
- Working with colleagues: Work alongside the regional sales team and share customer insight with colleagues in the UK and Germany.
Requirements
- A proven sales or account management record, including large accounts and negotiated agreements, with targets met or exceeded.
- A strong technical understanding that lets you explain the value of our products with confidence.
- Commercial awareness: comfortable discussing margin, cost of goods sold, and P&L.
- Accurate, disciplined forecasting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the confidence to train customer teams.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, and occasionally abroad, for example for onboarding in Germany.
- Flexibility around working hours when customers and the business need it.
- The drive and self-discipline to work fully remotely.
- Fluent written and spoken English, and the right to work in the UK.
Nice to Have
- Experience in distribution or channel sales.
- Coordinating a small team.
- Technical sales.
- The construction or equipment industry.
- Working in a start-up or scale-up.
We Offer
- A dynamic environment in a fast-growing company with a very flat hierarchy, where you can shape the company with your ideas.
- The opportunity to join a company at the cutting edge of its field.
- Fully remote working across the UK, with onboarding in Germany.
- A laptop and a mobile phone (iPhone or Samsung).
- 30 days’ paid holiday, plus 5 days’ special leave and public holidays.
