About the Position

Kinaxis Architect

Serve as a solution architect specializing in Kinaxis supply and demand planning, designing and optimizing end-to-end planning solutions for global manufacturing and supply chain clients in a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into scalable Kinaxis configurations that enhance planning accuracy, operational resilience, and overall enterprise performance while maintaining high delivery quality.

Responsibilities

• Design Kinaxis-based planning solutions that address complex supply and demand planning challenges for global manufacturing and supply chain clients and ensure that the architecture aligns with long-term enterprise planning strategies and scalability needs.
• Drive requirement discovery sessions with business and technology stakeholders and convert planning objectives into detailed Kinaxis configurations that improve forecast accuracy, inventory visibility, and responsive decision-making.
• Lead end-to-end solution design encompassing data models, workflows, and control mechanisms within Kinaxis to create integrated planning environments that connect demand planning, supply planning, and execution processes.
• Coordinate closely with planners, operations teams, and IT partners to validate solution assumptions, map existing processes, and define future state planning journeys that are enabled by Kinaxis capabilities and industry standard practices.
• Oversee configuration of Kinaxis demand planning components including creation of planning hierarchies, forecast models, and scenario simulations to support proactive demand shaping and risk-balanced decision-making.
• Guide the setup of Kinaxis supply planning functions including capacity planning, inventory optimization, and supply allocation rules to enhance service levels while controlling working capital across complex networks.
• Provide expert analysis on planning data flows and integration points to ensure that Kinaxis fundamentals such as data readiness, model health, and performance tuning are consistently maintained across environments.
• Conduct detailed fit-gap assessments between current client planning processes and Kinaxis standard functionalities to recommend pragmatic enhancements, process changes, and solution options that deliver measurable business value.
• Manage solution documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration decisions, and planning process narratives so that operations and support teams can sustain and evolve the Kinaxis platform effectively.
• Collaborate with testing teams to define test strategies and scenarios that reflect critical planning situations and validate that configured Kinaxis solutions perform reliably under realistic business conditions.
• Support change adoption by explaining planning concepts, system behavior, and scenario outcomes to user groups so that planners and decision-makers can confidently use Kinaxis for daily and strategic planning cycles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring solution performance, gathering feedback, and proposing incremental design refinements that align with evolving manufacturing and supply chain priorities.
• Actively participate in hybrid collaboration rituals and use digital tools to ensure consistent communication, progress tracking, and transparent issue resolution across on-site and remote team members.

Requirements

• Possess deep hands-on experience in Kinaxis supply planning configuration and design with proven ability to translate complex planning requirements into robust solution components that operate reliably in production.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Kinaxis demand planning including forecast model definition, demand sensing techniques, and scenario-based planning aimed at improving forecast quality and responsiveness.
• Apply solid knowledge of Kinaxis fundamentals such as data model structures, master data readiness, system performance, and configuration governance to maintain a stable and predictable planning environment.
• Bring practical understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain planning processes so that solution decisions reflect real-world constraints, lead times, and service objectives across networks.
• Show capability to work in a hybrid delivery model using structured communication and collaboration practices that maintain alignment with stakeholders and ensure clarity on solution scope and progress.
• Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate planning issues, interpret data signals, and design corrective actions that strengthen planning effectiveness and operational outcomes for clients.
• Prefer experience in large-scale enterprise or multinational environments where complex supply chains and global planning processes have been supported using Kinaxis-based architectures.

Certifications Required

• Kinaxis RapidResponse certification or equivalent Kinaxis platform accreditation preferred
