About the Position
Join our team as a Lead Level Designer for an online multiplayer FPS game on Unreal Engine 4. Manage a team, create engaging levels, and translate game vision into a playable experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of level designers in the development of an online multiplayer FPS game on Unreal Engine 4
- Manage a team of level designers
- Work closely with the art director, gameplay designer, and other disciplines to create engaging and challenging levels
- Translate the game's vision into a playable experience
- Create level layouts, scripts, and events
- Work with the art team to validate level assets
- Iterate on levels based on feedback
- Mentor and train other level designers
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in game development as a level designer
- 3+ years of experience with Unreal Engine 4
- Experience with online multiplayer games
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong understanding of level design principles (balance, combat encounters, mind maps, visual storytelling, immersiveness, etc.)
- A passion for making great games
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3D modeling or Level Art
- Experience with UE Blueprints
- A strong understanding of game design principles
