About the Position
Bring your ideas to life at Boeing. We are a DEMAR 145 maintenance organization providing Line Maintenance services on the new Germany fleet of CH-47 helicopters. This is an exciting new operation based at Holzdorf air base, and we are looking for highly experienced heavy lift helicopter technicians to join our organization.
This role offers a new and exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and diverse team supporting the German CH-47 fleet.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians to perform line maintenance on customer aircraft including backshop support for components that require repair.
- Collaborate daily with the customer CAMO to ensure that all resources are in place to support agreed maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures associated with the line maintenance of the customers’ aircraft.
- Advise senior management of all reportable incidents and report same in the Boeing or customer system.
- Ensure all aircraft paperwork, technical logs, and work packs are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales before hand back to the customer.
- Support the Boeing Part-145 MRO management Leadership Team through completing tasks as assigned; specifically with regard to the quality and on-time delivery of services.
- Carry out Ad Hoc tasks as requested by the Leadership Team.
- Maintain and manage assigned tooling, material, and components ensuring all local procedures are followed.
- Candidates must be prepared to work outside of normal hours when required to support ad hoc events. Shifts are typically 8-hour days Monday to Friday but will vary as required to support the business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a DEMAR Part-66 B1.3 or B2 license.
- At least 6 months’ recent experience on heavy helicopters.
- Have at least 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced maintenance environment. 3 of those years should be in a supervisory role.
- Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
- Be able to prioritize workload and lead a team to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
- Candidates must have the right to live and work in Germany.
- Security Clearance: Willingness to undergo a security clearance check (at least Ü2 level according to the German Security Clearance Act / SÜG) is strictly mandatory.
- Proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
- Hold EU Level 2 Secret Clearance is an asset.
- Currently hold a DEMAR Part-66 B1.3 or B2 license.
- Previous experience of using a maintenance management system.
- Must be willing to work varying shifts and spend periods away from the main base.
- Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
