About the Position
Lead Organic Social (all genders)
Augsburg, Berlin, Remote

About the Role
As a Lead Organic Social (all genders), you will significantly shape and develop our organic social media strategies. With your strategic vision, your flair for creative and impactful social media concepts, and your consulting expertise, you will be responsible for managing demanding client projects, convincing in pitches, and setting professional standards for the team.
MAI is a strong group with eight agencies spread across locations in Hamburg, Berlin, Paderborn, Cologne, Augsburg, Munich, and Vienna – united by common goals, mutual exchange, and collaboration across location boundaries. Wherever you start with us: you will become part of your local team and simultaneously part of MAI.
Responsibilities
- You develop and are responsible for the organic social media strategies of our clients, both nationally and internationally. Based on goals, agreed project budgets, learnings, and market changes that you recognize early on, you lead the campaigns to measurable results.
- You are the first point of contact for our clients, both in daily operations and strategically. You proactively advise on content, community, and performance and build long-term relationships, up to the C-Level.
- You develop pitch and new business concepts and present our strategic and creative approaches in a convincing manner.
- You translate strategies into creative concepts, formats, and briefings for video, photo, and livestream. You ensure that the idea, brand, and result match.
- You think across channels and integrate organic social with creative, influencers, UGC, and paid.
- You provide professional guidance to the team and are the final quality authority for strategy, content, tone, and goal achievement.
- At the beginning, you get involved yourself: you design, write, manage productions with external teams, even on-site, and manage accounts in daily operations.
- You establish standards, workflows, and guidelines that ensure quality and pace as organic social grows with us.
Requirements
- You have several years (ideally 5+) of experience in social media marketing, either in an agency or on the brand side.
- You can demonstrate that you have developed social strategies and brought campaigns to their goals.
- You have experience with pitches and new business and can confidently present strategic and creative concepts.
- You understand social media before the trend lands in the marketing meeting. You know why some brands suddenly get talked about everywhere and why a simple TikTok goes viral while a perfectly produced campaign fails. And above all: you turn this intuition into a strategy.
- You have a strong sense of aesthetics, storytelling, trends, and pop culture and develop memorable ideas from them.
- You think creatively but also work naturally with KPIs and translate them into business relevance.
- You have high standards for content without losing pace.
- You advise confidently in German and English.
We Offer
- Flexibility that fits your life. We trust you and give you the flexibility you need – with flexible working hours, mobile working, and workations.
- Responsibility that creates impact. With us, you are not just involved. You are given the space to drive topics independently, shape decisions, and create real added value with your work.
- Development that moves you forward. We share knowledge, learn from each other, and invest in your development – with individual training, conferences, and room for new perspectives.
- Collaboration on equal terms. Respect, reliability, and honest communication characterize our interactions. We combine our strengths and work across teams and locations towards common goals.
- Shared experiences that connect. Company parties and team events also create space for exchange and shared moments outside of everyday work.
- Health that matters. Our WorkLifePortal supports you in your mental and physical health. With our occupational pension scheme including employer contributions, we also think together for the future.
- Extras that make everyday life better. With JobRad, you are on the go sustainably, through Corporate Benefits you receive attractive discounts, and in our MAI offices, free drinks, snacks, fruit, and muesli await you.
About Us
We are MAI. We combine strategy with implementation, technology with creativity, and digital possibilities with real business impact.
For this, we bring together specialized expertise, think partner-like, and act pragmatically with a clear claim: to create solutions that work.
Do you want to not only be part of it but also take on responsibility and create impact? Do you value honest exchange on equal terms, share your knowledge, and believe that the best results are achieved together? Then bring your perspective and strengths to MAI and shape with us what comes next.
