Job description

About the Position

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our team at Faire, a technology wholesale platform that connects independent retailers with the best products from around the world. As a Lead Product Designer, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to creating beautiful and intuitive experiences for our users.

About Faire

Faire is a company invested in good design. We believe in the power of technology to connect and empower local businesses. Our mission is to level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive. We are looking for passionate individuals who share our vision and are committed to making a difference.

Responsibilities

  • Define the direction by influencing what to build based on customer understanding and business context.
  • Lead end-to-end design from deep discovery and rapid prototyping through polished execution and production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams to explore new paradigms.
  • Tell powerful stories that connect design vision to tangible business and customer impact, inspiring alignment across teams and leadership.
  • Push Faire’s design system forward through the lens of your work-evolving patterns, motion, and visual language that scale across the platform.
  • Prototype fearlessly using modern tools to explore new ideas, test assumptions, and accelerate innovation.
  • Elevate other designers by sharing your craft, process, and storytelling approach to raise the bar across the org.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience designing digital products and systems. Your previous work demonstrates an attention to detail and high-quality visual, UX, systems design, and content design.
  • Expertise in interaction design, visual craft, and systems thinking.
  • Strong ability to connect design direction to business and customer outcomes.
  • Comfort exploring and experimenting with new tools and workflows for rapid prototyping and AI-integrated design.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates visionary product thinking, strong craft, and clear communication of impact.
  • Experience contributing to and evolving large-scale design systems.
  • A passion for collaboration and driving a culture of excellence in design.
  • And, ideally, a sense of humor!

We Offer

  • Competitive salary range of $184,000 - $253,000 per year.
  • Equity and benefits.
  • Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in the office (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of your choosing) and remote work flexibility up to 4 weeks per year.
  • Move fast: Own meaningful problems that serve customers around the globe with the agency to move fast and see your results clearly.
  • Equipped to scale: We invest in what matters, including the latest enterprise AI tools, to help you work smarter and get more out of every day.
  • Best in class: Our team is full of sharp, kind, and generous colleagues who care about their craft and about helping you grow in yours.
  • Real rewards: Competitive pay, equity, and comprehensive benefits designed to support your life inside and outside of work.
  • Belonging: We're intentional about building an environment where every Faire employee has equal access to opportunities, growth, and success.
