About the Position

Position: Lead Software Engineer (React, Node.js & AI)

Location: Kraków (full time office)

Salary: 30,000 – 36,000 PLN net + VAT (B2B) / 24,000 – 32,000 PLN gross COE

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers within the POD, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Establish and enforce architectural patterns, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Work closely with the Forward Deployed Engineer to translate client needs and business requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Help the team break down complex requirements into actionable technical solutions.
• Take part in client-facing discussions and contribute to shaping technical solutions based on customer needs.
• Manage engineers directly, including regular 1:1s, feedback, performance management, and career development.
• Drive technical decision-making within the POD while balancing business and customer requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hard-core software engineering experience
• Absolute expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React
• Proven experience in people management, including 1:1s, performance management, feedback, and career development.
• Strong experience in mentoring and developing engineers.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and architectural patterns, with the ability to establish and enforce engineering standards.
• Experience translating business and client requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with business-oriented and client-facing roles.
• Ability to balance technical, business, and customer needs when making engineering decisions.
