Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of international contracts, vendor agreements, software development kits (SDKs), intellectual property licensing, and other industry-specific agreements.
• Monitor existing and evolving global data protection and privacy regulations (including GDPR, COPPA, US State Laws, etc.) and translate obligations and requirements into actionable guidance.
• Monitor evolving global regulatory frameworks impacting mobile gaming (e.g., the EU AI Act, Digital Services Act, regional youth safety laws) and entertainment industry and translate those updates into actionable guidance for internal product leads.
• Partner with game development teams to review game mechanics, monetization strategies (including virtual currencies, in-app purchases and advertising), user-acquisition marketing, in-game activities and features against worldwide compliance regulations.
• Monitor legislation and standards, review and prepare internal acts in line with the needs of the company, manage any activities necessary to ensure internal compliance and maintain legally relevant internal registers and records.
• Act as a key point of contact for external regulatory bodies and draft and manage official responses to formal inquiries, audits, information requests, and investigations from global regulatory authorities.
• Participate in projects, provide legal assistance and collaborate with other departments.

Requirements

• A passion for legal work, information technology and the fast-paced mobile industry.
• Expert knowledge of and practical experience with contract drafting, international compliance frameworks, privacy and consumer regulations.
• Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
• A precise, resourceful, and timely working style with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
• A strong understanding of and consideration for the business needs of the company.
• A positive attitude towards work, team collaboration, and continuous self-improvement.
• Ability to work both cooperatively in a team, and proactively as an individual.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience working as a legal counsel or holding other comparable positions in the legal profession (preferably strong exposure to the compliance and privacy fields).
• University law degree (or Second Cycle Bologna law degree / J.D. equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of compliance (including privacy laws and regulations).
