We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to join a skilled infrastructure team responsible for the stability, security, and performance of Linux-based systems across physical and virtual environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams, acting as a key technical resource for system optimization, troubleshooting, and infrastructure improvements. This is a hands-on role where you will have direct ownership of critical systems that power our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix-based servers in both physical and virtual environments, ensuring system stability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Monitor system health (CPU, memory, storage, network usage) and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain security hardening standards, manage user access and permissions, and ensure timely patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage and execute regular backup procedures, and maintain and test disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• Experienced Intermediate Linux Administrator with 3–5 years of hands-on enterprise-level experience in managing Linux/Unix environments.
• Deep mastery of Linux operating systems, including kernel tuning, file system management (LVM, RAID), and advanced command-line proficiency.
• Solid networking fundamentals, with strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.
• Proficient in automating routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Hands-on experience with Puppet as a configuration management tool - which is mandatory for this role.
• Proactive about system health, security, and performance, and you thrive in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
• Take ownership of system stability and security, and you enjoy working collaboratively to drive continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect
