Murex Business Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Murex Business Analyst with deep Capital Markets knowledge and extensive hands-on Murex experience to join our team in Hyderabad, India. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical development teams. Your primary focus will be designing, configuring, and implementing Murex solutions to support trading, risk management, and post-trade operations.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

  • Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications.
  • Liaise with front, middle, and back-office teams to understand workflows.
  • Map current-state processes to future-state Murex functionalities.
  • Define clear scope boundaries for platform enhancements and migrations.

• Murex Configuration & Implementation

  • Configure Murex modules including MX.3 MxML exchange, Datamart, or workflows.
  • Support financial product onboarding across Fixed Income, FX, Equities, or Derivatives.
  • Design validation rules, simulation screens, and pricing templates within Murex.
  • Analyze accounting, confirmation, and settlement rules within the platform.

• Testing & Support

  • Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and execution plans.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve functional bugs during lifecycle deployments.
  • Provide functional support during critical market go-live windows.

Requirements

• Must have

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Murex (MX.3 preferred).
  • Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle and financial instruments.
  • Asset Classes: Strong familiarity with FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, or Credit.
  • Regulations: Knowledge of market regulations like EMIR, MiFID II, or Dodd-Frank.
  • Proficiency in Front Office (Pricing), Risk (VaR), or Back Office.
  • Experience with Murex reporting tools like Datamart and MxFormula.
  • Proven expertise writing BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Methodologies: Strong experience working in Agile or Scrum frameworks.
