About the Position

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Irvine, California

Base Salary: USD $107,782 to $142,213 ($10,000 sign-on bonus)

Responsibilities

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist reports to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and is responsible for performing a full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances.
The role involves providing high-quality patient care, ensuring timely patient throughput, and conducting examinations.
The technologist operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment, including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment.
Additionally, perform PET, Nuclear Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanners, including injection of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition, and reformatting.
The Nuclear Medicine Tech also conducts necessary scans and procedures to aid in scanner qualification for research trials.

Requirements

Knowledge of state regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
Minimum one year of full-time experience working as a CNMT
Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Current BLS certification
Current and active State of California CNMT License
Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of full-time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
