About the Role

The Onboarding and New Hire Experience Associate plays a critical role in delivering a best-in-class onboarding experience for Cognizant's emerging talent population across the Americas. This role combines high-touch relationship building with new hires and hands-on ownership of the program logistics, virtual and in-person events, and data tracking that keep Emerging Talent programming running smoothly at scale. The Associate is often a new hire's most consistent point of contact during their early Cognizant journey, making attention to detail and a personal touch essential to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Build Relationships with New Hires

    • Create and maintain high-touch, personal relationships with new hires to ensure a best-in-class onboarding experience from day one.
  • Own Program Logistics & Virtual Events (primary owner)

    • Draft, maintain, and manage all calendar invites for Emerging Talent virtual programs for both internal stakeholders and new hires, with strong attention to detail.
    • Manage the registration process for Emerging Talent virtual programs via MS Outlook and/or Goldcast.
    • Duplicate Goldcast virtual events and maintain accurate resource documents for corresponding sessions.
  • Support Live Program Delivery

    • Provide hands-on support during virtual programs by engaging directly with new hires and guest speakers.
    • Stay agile in-session, monitoring for issues and escalating per the established escalation matrix as needed.
  • Track & Report on Program Data

    • Collect, track, and analyze attendance data across cohorts, sharing trends and insights with internal stakeholders.
    • Identify patterns and suggest improvements based on data findings.
    • Formally present findings to the extended team on a quarterly basis.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date data inputs across various team trackers.
  • Support Regional Collaboration

    • Potential to partner closely with team members in LATAM on program builds.
  • Manage Onsite Logistics

    • Own onsite logistics for in-person programming, including room reservations, Wi-Fi setup for guest access, badge access, meals, safety training coordination, and building security notifications across multiple hub locations.
    • Assist in building out processes for onsite engagement events beyond onboarding.
    • Assist with execution of the annual summer internship kickoff program (Welcome Week).

Ideal Candidate

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, especially when managing calendars, registrations, and logistics across multiple programs and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable engaging live with new hires and guest speakers in a virtual setting, with the ability to stay calm and agile in-session.
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking, interpreting, and presenting data to stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in creating a great new hire experience.
  • Spanish fluency (written and verbal) a plus, given potential collaboration with LATAM team members.
  • Flexible and willing to support onsite logistics across multiple hub locations as needed.
