OTA (Over-the-Air) Validation Engineer – Automotive

About the Position

We are seeking an OTA (Over-the-Air) Validation Engineer – Automotive to join our team in Dearborn, United States. This role is focused on creating and deploying software updates, ECU flashing, and performing various types of testing for automotive systems.

Responsibilities

• Creating and deploying software updates and performing over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• ECU Flashing, wire flashing, and USB updates for vehicle fleets.
• In-vehicle automation testing using tools like Vector CANOE and CANALYZER.
• Managing issues, defects, and version control using tools such as JIRA, Github, and SVN.
• Performing stress, functional, feature, and core hotfix testing for various modules within targeted timeframes.

Requirements

• Experience in creating software updates and deploying over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• Experience in ECU Flashing, performing software updates via OTA, wire flashing, and/or USB in a vehicle (fleet updates).
• Good experience in in-vehicle automation testing, and experience with testing tools like Vector CANOE and CANALYZER.
• Good experience/knowledge working on issue management, defect management, and version management tools like JIRA, Github, and SVN.
• Experience performing stress, functional, feature, and core hotfix testing for various modules within targeted timeframes.
• Validation experience in over-the-air updates for components such as 3G/4G TCUs, NAVI, and HMI Modules.
