Principal Electrical Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical hardware development activities across new and existing product platforms.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership

  • Lead electrical hardware development activities across new and existing product platforms.
  • Provide guidance on architecture, design methodologies, risk reduction strategies, and technical decision-making.
  • Participate in design reviews and present technical recommendations to engineering leadership and stakeholders.

• Hardware Design & Development

  • Design and develop sophisticated analog and digital electronic circuits for high-performance applications.
  • Create hardware solutions involving microprocessors, embedded controllers, data acquisition systems, and communication interfaces.
  • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, verification, and validation activities.

• Power Electronics Engineering

  • Develop and optimize power conversion and power distribution circuitry.
  • Design solutions utilizing advanced semiconductor technologies including wide-bandgap devices.
  • Support high-voltage, high-current, and electrically noisy operating environments.

• Product Lifecycle Support

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production.
  • Investigate field issues and support root-cause analysis activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing products and platforms.

• Engineering Excellence

  • Generate and maintain engineering documentation, requirements specifications, and test procedures.
  • Conduct design assessments including reliability, thermal, tolerance, stress, and failure mode evaluations.
  • Support proposal development, project planning, and technical resource estimation.
