The Principal Infra Developer role focuses on designing and automating robust infrastructure solutions using scripting and orchestration tools to improve operational efficiency and reliability. The role involves building secure integrations across platforms and services while supporting hybrid working models and rotational shifts for a global enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure automation solutions using Powershell and Unix shell scripting to enhance reliability and reduce manual operational tasks
• Develop and maintain prompt engineering assets that optimize interactions with generative systems to improve automation quality and consistency across infrastructure workflows
• Build and manage Rest API integrations between infrastructure platforms and enterprise tools to enable seamless data exchange and process automation
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow Orchestration workflows to automate provisioning, incident response, and routine operational activities for infrastructure services
• Create Ansible playbooks and roles to standardize configuration management and deployment processes across hybrid infrastructure environments
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and utilities to support infrastructure automation, monitoring, and custom tooling requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze infrastructure requirements and translate them into automated solutions that support enterprise-scale operations
• Monitor automated workflows and integrations to identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements that enhance system stability and responsiveness
• Implement secure coding and scripting practices across all automation components to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with organizational policies
• Document automation architectures, scripts, and operational procedures in clear and reusable formats to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing
• Coordinate with service management teams to align automation solutions with incident, change, and problem processes for consistent and auditable operations
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new tools, techniques, and frameworks that can enhance infrastructure automation capabilities and efficiency
• Support hybrid work arrangements and rotational shifts by ensuring robust monitoring, logging, and alerting are in place to maintain high service availability at all times

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Powershell and Unix shell scripting with proven experience in automating complex infrastructure tasks and operational workflows
• Exhibit advanced knowledge of prompt engineering techniques for generative systems applied to infrastructure and operations use cases
• Show solid experience in designing, securing, and consuming Rest API-based integrations between infrastructure platforms and enterprise applications
• Display hands-on expertise with ServiceNow Orchestration, including design of workflows, runbooks, and integrations for infrastructure automation scenarios
• Possess practical experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment across hybrid environments covering servers, services, and applications
• Showcase strong Python programming skills for building automation tools, data handling utilities, and integration components aligned with infrastructure requirements
• Apply understanding of regulatory and process control governance and compliance concepts to design automation that supports audit readiness and policy adherence
• Communicate effectively in hybrid work settings and rotational shifts, ensuring clear coordination, documentation, and collaboration with global stakeholders

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation, and ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.
