Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our Space Communication programs in El Segundo, California.
Responsibilities
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment, and performance improvement, management, and improvement of supply chain management and processes.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”.
- More than 5 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- More than 3 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.
- More than 3 years of experience creating, interpreting, and/or enforcing technical requirements.
- More than 3 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams.
- More than 3 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
- More than 3 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity.
- More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action.
