About the Position

Bring your ideas to life at Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK). We are seeking a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Team Lead to support Fixed Wing and Vertical Lift Boeing platforms. Join us and shape the future with Boeing.

Responsibilities

As the RCM Lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will:

  • Lead RCM Analysis: Execute RCM analysis across platforms, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and schedule.
  • Develop Capabilities: Enhance BDUK's RCM capabilities through continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage Change: Evaluate and process change requests based on maintenance feedback, failure investigations, and reliability studies.
  • Ensure Compliance: Guarantee all changes comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Engage with Customers: Understand customer needs and provide expert advice on RCM methodologies.
  • Report Progress: Deliver clear reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project outcomes.
  • Integrate Tools: Ensure defined RCM tasks are accurately reflected and updated within relevant tools and systems.
  • Strengthen Reliability: Maintain and improve the organization's reliability approach through systematic methods.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Ability to obtain the necessary clearance.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in RCM: Extensive knowledge including hands-on experience in RCM including MSG-3, RCM-2, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers as an RCM SME.
  • Maintenance and Engineering Expertise: Strong background in maintenance and engineering with practical application skills.
  • Risk & Reliability Management: In-depth knowledge of risk and reliability management systems and techniques.
  • Understanding of Risk & Opportunity Management: Familiarity with the principles and practical application of risk and opportunity management in engineering contexts.

Nice to Have

  • Defence Industry Familiarity: Preferably experienced in a defence-related environment.
  • Commitment to Quality: A commitment to first-time quality in engineering outputs and deliverables.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Educational Qualifications: Ideally holds a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and/or formally trained in support engineering.
  • Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
