About the Position

PRODUCTION ANALYST (bakery)

TORONTO

Our client is a large commercial bakery with multiple plants in the GTA producing baked goods that are shipped throughout North America and the world and you’ll also find them at your local grocer. We’re seeking a Production Analyst to join their team to optimize workflow and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and present manufacturing progress and status reports daily and weekly.
• Study existing manufacturing processes, identify points of inefficiency or potential disruptions, and recommend solutions that can streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Ensure ongoing collection and analysis of cost and production performance data.
• Develop models and reporting structures that identify production rates.
• Maintenance of the Production Analytical System software.
• Configure and implement systems and programs to automate tasks and processes.
• Compare production targets to actual production data by spending time on the Production floor.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and supporting analytical projects.
• Support commercialization process by evaluating new & existing manufacturing opportunities.
• Work with production teams to ensure clear understanding of financial impact of their decisions.
• Communicate with the manufacturing team to provide product delivery support to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Advanced data management skills including Excel and database tools: Sage Accpac, Salesforce.
• Resourcefulness and strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective work relations.
• Ability to articulate data and communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to meet expectations and deadlines by using strong multitasking and prioritizing skills.
