Python Engineer (Streaming / Performance) (m/f/d)

About the Position

We are looking for a Python Engineer (Streaming / Performance) (m/f/d) to join our team at Staige GmbH in Essen, Germany. Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance video and data pipelines, with a clear focus on efficiency and real-time processing.
• Debug, profile, and continuously optimize the performance of our systems.
• Ensure stable and low-latency processing of large data volumes.
• Work closely with our AI and hardware teams to ensure seamless pipeline integration.

Requirements

• Excellent Python skills, particularly with multiprocessing and AsyncIO.
• Solid practical experience in developing real-time and streaming pipelines.
• Strong in performance optimization (CPU / Memory / I/O) and have experience in systematic debugging and profiling.
• Knowledge in GStreamer and video processing (decode/encode, timing).
• Ideally, some experience with Rust for low-level optimizations.
• Knowledge in GPU utilization (e.g., CUDA, NVIDIA Jetson) or C/C++ integration is a plus.
• Excellent German language skills.
