About the Position

Playtech’s Casino unit is looking for a proactive QA Engineer with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

To ensure a successful onboarding experience and close collaboration with the team, employees are expected to work from the office five days per week during the probation. Following the probation period, the role transitions to a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely each week.

Responsibilities

Configure environments and applications, and create test plans
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to define requirements
Use SQL, Java, and Linux command line tools in your daily work
Participate in a customized agile software development life cycle
Analyze documentation and gather information to complete assigned tasks
Invent and write test cases, and contribute to automation flows by supporting the automation team and improving or developing tests
Set up and manage test environments
Leverage automated tests and request or create new ones when needed
Ensure product quality through thorough testing and feedback
Track and report project status regularly
Present project demos and share insights
Work on global-scale products
Provide feedback and suggest improvements for our product and processes

Requirements

Bring a solid technical foundation and hands-on experience
Demonstrate strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
Apply practical Linux knowledge in day-to-day tasks
Understand software testing principles and development processes
Maintain a collaborative, solution-focused, and positive mindset
Identify issues and investigate their root causes effectively
Approach technical challenges with creativity and flexibility
Think abstractly to anticipate edge cases and system behaviors
Prioritize issues based on severity and impact
Communicate clearly and confidently in both spoken and written English

Nice to Have

Familiarity with some programming language (Java preferred)
