About the Client

Our client is a digital banking platform that caters to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual users. The platform provides multi-currency business accounts, virtual and physical Visa cards, and e-wallets. Users can send and receive payments globally through web and mobile applications and integrate with payment systems like Apple Pay.

Role Overview

As a Reconciliation Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. This full-time position offers an opportunity to design and optimize reconciliation processes, collaborate with multiple departments, and contribute to the growth of a leading fintech company. You'll be at the forefront of resolving discrepancies and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end reconciliation processes between platform, merchants, providers, and acquirers.
  • Define reconciliation methodology, matching logic, tolerances, escalation rules, and operational controls.
  • Build and optimize reconciliation workflows, including automation requirements, parser logic, and reporting structure.
  • Lead investigation of complex discrepancies, settlement breaks, balance mismatches, and unresolved transaction cases.
  • Establish monitoring and controls for merchant/acquirer balances, rolling reserves, fees, chargebacks, and settlements.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Product, and IT teams to improve reconciliation infrastructure and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in reconciliation, payment operations, or financial operations leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing lifecycle: authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, and reserves.
  • Experience building or scaling reconciliation processes, controls, and operational procedures from scratch.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large financial datasets.
  • Practical experience with reconciliation automation, financial systems, and provider/acquirer integrations.
  • Languages: English B2, Russian C1.
  • Experience in fintech.
