About the Position

We are seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our IT team in Kraków, Poland. Our company has been a leader in providing accounting solutions since 2008, helping businesses manage their finances more efficiently. We are part of the Norwegian Visma Group.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust web applications using Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Build REST APIs
• Understand the basics of web application security
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Utilize version control systems like GIT
• Continuously improve and develop your skills
• Collaborate in an environment where developers' opinions matter
• Use AI tools to enhance productivity

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years (Mid) / 5 years (Senior) experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Experience in building REST APIs
• Basic knowledge of web application security
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency with version control systems - GIT
• Willingness to continuously develop and improve skills
• Desire to work in an environment where developers' opinions are valued
• Experience with AI tools

Nice to Have

• Frontend: Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus, Action Cable, React
• Background processing: Sidekiq, ActiveJob
• Messaging systems: RabbitMQ, Kafka
• API: REST API, testing (Postman, Bruno)
• Testing: RSpec, Capybara, unit and automated tests
• Security: Knowledge of vulnerabilities, good security practices
• DevOps: CI/CD best practices
• Testability: Observability and controllability of the application

• Mid: 13,000 - 21,000 PLN Netto B2B
• Senior: 21,000 - 25,000 PLN Netto B2B
