Cognizant is hiring for a Salesforce Technical Architect for Chennai and Bangalore locations.

Job Summary

Serve as a senior technology architect specializing in Salesforce platforms focusing on identity and security, data integration, devops, and experience cloud solutions. Design scalable hybrid model architectures that support complex business processes for research and development domain environments ensuring robust performance, reliability, and compliance for day shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions that align with enterprise standards by translating complex business needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable platform designs that directly support research and development innovation outcomes.
• Design comprehensive identity and access management approaches on Salesforce by applying advanced expertise in Salesforce identity and security and sharing and visibility to ensure precise control over user access and protection of sensitive data.
• Develop robust customization strategies for Salesforce applications by leveraging deep experience in SFDC development and customization and SFDC lightning to create intuitive, configurable, and efficient user experiences that improve productivity and data quality.
• Define integration architectures that connect Salesforce with internal and external systems by utilizing SFDC integration patterns and best practices to enable reliable data exchange and real-time insights across the organization.
• Establish standards and frameworks for Salesforce devops practices by implementing automated build, test, and deployment pipelines that enhance release speed, reduce errors, and maintain high availability for critical business capabilities.
• Create governance models for SFDC data management by shaping data architecture, data quality controls, and retention strategies that ensure consistency, compliance, and trusted analytics for decision-making across research and development programs.
• Guide the configuration and optimization of Salesforce experience cloud solutions by designing secure and engaging digital experiences for external and internal communities and ensuring seamless collaboration for research stakeholders.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide expert recommendations by assessing existing Salesforce implementations for performance, security, scalability, and alignment with enterprise principles then defining practical remediation roadmaps.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business partners, and engineering teams by facilitating architecture working sessions to refine requirements and ensure technology decisions clearly support organizational objectives and societal impact.
• Mentor development and configuration teams on Salesforce best practices by providing architectural patterns, coding standards, and design guidelines that reduce technical debt and improve long-term sustainability of the platform.
• Evaluate new Salesforce features and emerging tools by performing impact analysis, pilots, and architectural assessments to determine how they can strengthen innovation, agility, and compliance within hybrid working environments.
• Document detailed architecture blueprints and solution design artifacts by maintaining accurate diagrams, configuration patterns, and integration specifications that enable transparent communication and consistent implementation across teams.
• Coordinate with security and compliance stakeholders by validating that Salesforce identity, security, sharing, and visibility controls meet regulatory expectations and protect sensitive research information without constraining collaboration.

Requirements

• Demonstrate extensive experience of more than fourteen years in Salesforce technology with strong hands-on exposure to SFDC development and customization, SFDC lightning, and SFDC integration delivering complex enterprise-grade solutions.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of SFDC identity and security and SFDC sharing and visibility by designing role models, permission structures, and authentication flows that enforce robust security while supporting flexible access requirements.
• Utilize proven expertise in Salesforce experience cloud by configuring and optimizing portals and community experiences that enable efficient interaction among research teams, partners, and participants.
• Employ advanced understanding of Salesforce devops practices by using automation tools, version control, and continuous integration approaches to streamline deployments and enhance platform reliability.
• Bring strong SFDC data skills by defining data models, data migration strategies, and data quality frameworks that ensure integrity of research-related information and support analytical reporting.
• Draw on experience in research and development domain by incorporating understanding of experimental workflows, regulatory considerations, and collaboration needs into architectural decisions for practical business value.

Certifications Required

Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect or Salesforce Certified Identity and Access Management Architect
