About the Position
We are searching for a Senior Android Developer to become part of our team.
In this position, you will help create and advance mobile applications used by a broad audience. You will work side by side with designers, product owners, QA, and fellow engineers in a supportive setting focused on innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop Android applications that provide high-quality user experiences
- Create and remove code as needed to keep the codebase healthy and evolving
- Leverage build tools such as Gradle, GitHub Actions, and Circle CI to streamline development and delivery
- Apply Continuous Integration patterns throughout the development workflow
- Detect and resolve bugs to preserve stability and reliability across the app
- Adopt asynchronous coding patterns to manage concurrent operations effectively
- Carry out performance analysis and optimization to keep applications smooth and efficient
- Maintain legacy code and blend it with modern components
- Prepare unit and integration tests to safeguard code quality and correctness
- Take part in open source projects and initiatives
- Work effectively within a globally distributed team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or equivalent experience
- No less than 3 years of hands-on professional experience in Android development
- Strong applied background in Android application development
- Familiarity with RAML API Documentation for describing and integrating APIs
- Solid Kotlin programming skills, including practical experience with Flow for reactive streams
- Applied experience with RxJava for reactive and asynchronous programming
- Hands-on background with Circle CI for continuous integration and delivery
- Practical use of Test Fakes to enable reliable and isolated testing
- English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and spoken communication skills
Nice to Have
- Applied experience with Dagger for dependency injection in Android applications
- Familiarity with Espresso for UI testing on Android
- Practical use of GitHub Actions for automating CI/CD workflows
- Hands-on background with JUnit for unit testing
- Working experience with Jetpack Compose for creating modern Android UIs
- Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous programming
- Familiarity with the MVI Architecture pattern for developing scalable Android applications
- Applied experience with OkHttp for handling HTTP networking
- Practical background designing and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with WireMock for mocking HTTP services during testing
