About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer who will take ownership of both manual and automated testing processes for AI-enabled applications. The role involves validating complex, probabilistic system behaviors, ensuring consistency, reliability, and user trust in AI-driven workflows. This position is ideal for an experienced QA professional who enjoys hands-on testing, systems thinking, and influencing quality strategy for evolving, intelligent products.

Our Client is a global leader in the technology and data analytics for the energy sector, delivering advanced SaaS solutions that empower organizations to make high-impact, data-driven decisions. Their products are trusted by thousands of customers worldwide and are known for their reliability, accuracy, and innovation. The company is currently developing next-generation AI-enabled platforms that combine deterministic workflows with intelligent automation and analytics to improve safety, efficiency, and operational decision-making.

The project focuses on building an AI-powered platform designed to support critical, real-time decision-making in complex operational environments. The solution integrates web, mobile, and back-end systems to deliver intelligent workflows, autonomous agents, and data-driven insights. The platform's purpose is to enhance safety and performance by providing users with dynamic risk assessments, predictive analytics, and adaptive operational guidance.

You will join a cross-functional Product Team working closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and platform specialists to ensure the quality and reliability of AI-driven features across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and integrated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated testing of AI-driven applications, workflows, and integrations
  • Explore system behavior across multiple environments (web, mobile, back end) to identify risks and edge cases
  • Evaluate AI-powered workflows and autonomous agents for correctness, consistency, and user trust
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across UI, API, and service layers
  • Define and implement test strategies for workflows combining deterministic logic with AI behavior
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to clarify requirements, improve testability, and ensure quality standards
  • Participate in issue triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution, especially for nondeterministic or subtle failures
  • Integrate manual and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous, reliable releases
  • Contribute to evolving test automation frameworks and best practices for AI-enabled systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation and exploratory testing
  • Experience in testing AI-powered or data-driven features, including systems with probabilistic or nondeterministic behavior
  • Strong understanding of exploratory, risk-based, and system-level testing methodologies
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for test automation
  • Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks (e.g., WebdriverIO, Playwright)
  • Experience in testing web and API applications
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to subtle or edge-case failures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating quality risks and confidence levels to technical and product stakeholders
  • English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher

Nice to Have

  • Experience with performance, load, or security testing (a strong advantage)
  • Mobile testing experience
