Senior Automation Tester (Java)

About the Position

We are currently looking for a Senior Automation Tester in Java to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of complex software solutions across various stages of the development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust testing strategies that align with modern engineering standards and business objectives. Responsibilities

• Write comprehensive test plans to support development activities and align testing efforts with project goals
• Design and prepare functional, integration, and acceptance test cases to validate application behavior across scenarios
• Automate test cases for regression, functional, and smoke testing to accelerate delivery and improve coverage
• Plan and execute automation tasks while ensuring testing standards and best practices are upheld within the team
• Integrate test cycles with the DevOps pipeline to enable continuous testing and faster feedback loops
• Apply creative and efficient approaches to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Automate testing for both back-end services (REST APIs) and front-end components
• Document and report defects clearly to support quick resolution and effective communication with stakeholders
• Manage test data and test environments to ensure reliable and repeatable test execution
• Maintain version control of test scripts to support traceability and team collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in Quality Assurance and test automation development, or a combination of development and testing experience
• Hands-on experience in REST API testing to validate back-end services
• Practical experience with Selenium or similar tools for browser-based test automation
• Proven experience creating and maintaining automation scripts to verify that information systems services and programs meet acceptance criteria
• Working experience with Agile methodology and its application in day-to-day delivery
• Strong analytical skills for effective problem investigation and quality assessment
• Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities
• Solid experience with functional, integration, and regression testing across various environments
• Good level of knowledge in manual testing to complement automation activities
• Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated quality checks
• English level B2 or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

• Background in Financial Services and/or Wealth Management, which would be a significant advantage for understanding domain-specific requirements and workflows
