Senior Data Engineer (GCP)
About the Employer
Client: An international product company operating in the agribusiness and new technologies sector. The organization is developing a global data platform supporting key business processes such as supply chain management, market analysis, and risk management.
Office Location: Warsaw.
Work Model: Hybrid (1-2 days in the office per week).
Team: 5-6 Data Engineers. The team is distributed, located in Poland and Spain.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining modern data pipelines in the Google Cloud Platform environment.
- Building and developing Data Lake and Lakehouse platforms supporting analytical and Machine Learning solutions.
- Creating efficient data processing solutions using streaming technologies and CDC pipelines.
- Designing and developing Data Warehouse solutions and data models supporting business analytics.
- Solving complex data processing problems and providing solutions to support business decision-making.
- Collaborating with Data Scientists, business analysts, architects, and Product Owners on global initiatives.
- Implementing best practices in Data Engineering and participating in the selection and implementation of new tools and technologies.
- Mentoring less experienced team members and sharing knowledge on Data Engineering standards.
- Ensuring the quality, performance, and stability of developed solutions through analysis, testing, and maintenance of existing processes.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced individual with knowledge in Data Engineering, data architecture, data analysis, and reporting who wants to develop a modern data platform based on Google Cloud Platform and participate in creating solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and initiatives in Data Science and Machine Learning.
Main Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer,
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP),
- Very good knowledge of SQL,
- Programming experience in Python or Scala,
- Practical experience with Google Cloud services, particularly BigQuery, Datastream, Dataproc, DataPlex, and Dataform,
- Experience in building and maintaining Data Lake or Lakehouse platforms,
- Experience in creating Data Warehouse solutions using cloud MPP engines (preferred BigQuery),
- Experience in building data pipelines using streaming processing and Change Data Capture (CDC),
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, Data Governance, and reporting issues,
- Experience working with relational, NoSQL, and cloud databases,
- Good knowledge of the Linux system,
- Experience working in Agile teams,
- Fluency in English (minimum B2, C1 preferred) enabling smooth collaboration with an international team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure,
- Experience in Risk projects,
- Interest in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Retention period: For the time necessary to complete the verification.
C. Submission of the full application to a specific Employer: sending your CV to a selected Client after presenting its identity and obtaining your confirmation of willingness to participate in the process with that specific employer.
Legal basis: Your separate consent indicating the specific employer by name (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
Retention period: Until the application is submitted to the Client (further retention by the Client is governed by its own personal data protection policy).
D. Defense against claims and settlement of disputes: legal protection of the Company related to the provision of recruitment services.
Legal basis: Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Retention period: For the duration of the limitation period for any claims arising from legal provisions.

Your personal data may be disclosed to:
- Agency Clients (Potential Employers): in the minimal scope (name and surname) to verify the absence of duplicate applications (based on our legitimate interest), and in the full CV scope – only after disclosing the full name of the Client to you and obtaining separate consent. From the moment of full data disclosure, the Client becomes an independent controller of your personal data.
- Technology service providers: entities processing data on our behalf (e.g., recruitment management system providers – ATS, hosting, and email).
- State authorities: institutions authorized by law.
Candidate rights
You have the right to access your data, correction, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
Profiling and international transfers
Within the candidate database, the Company may use ancillary profiling (assessment of skills, education, and experience against criteria specified in client job offers). This profiling does not produce legal effects towards you and does not make fully automated decisions (the final decision to contact you is always made by a recruiter). Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
