Senior Data Software Engineer, AWS Lambda

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to join the MDG Tech team, responsible for designing, operating, and supporting the end-to-end MDM integration flow between Syndigo and legacy systems, including inbound/outbound processing, mapping, error handling, and operational monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Take shared ownership in the development of the technical integration across Syndigo, legacy, and downstream interfaces
• Ensure data quality and mapping consistency between inbound source files and outbound update messages
• Support production stability through monitoring, alerting, and dead-letter queue handling
• Build a maintainable and scalable solution that supports both initial load and ongoing update flows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align integration solutions with business requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and system reliability

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering at a senior level
• Expertise in AWS (DynamoDB, Lambdas, SQS, ECS, Fargate), Confluent Kafka, and Terraform
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Skills in CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins
• Background in cloud integration and MDM/Syndigo
• Solid understanding of data flows, interfaces, mappings, and production support considerations
• AWS certification
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Experience with data governance and master data management
• Background in the fashion retail industry
