Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the transformation of our enterprise browser automation infrastructure in Romania. This role is remote and offers a flexible work model.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead the transformation of enterprise browser automation infrastructure by migrating testing workloads from Selenoid to Selenium Grid 4 on Google Cloud Platform. Your contributions will help engineering teams accelerate delivery through modern platform engineering practices and seamless CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Assess current Selenoid usage across 38 repositories and validate Selenium Grid 4 compatibility
• Design, provision, and operate a dedicated Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster
• Deploy Selenium Grid 4 and the Test User Service on GKE
• Configure GCP networking, IAM, RBAC, load balancing, and secure access controls
• Integrate Selenium Grid 4 with GitHub Actions workflows
• Migrate existing test workloads from Selenoid to Selenium Grid 4 with minimal service disruption
• Perform load, scalability, resilience, and security testing before production rollout
• Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting using Google Cloud Operations Suite
• Develop migration guides, operational documentation, and support materials
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure smooth adoption of modern testing infrastructure and operational best practices
• Establish SLOs, operational procedures, and incident response processes
• Decommission the legacy Selenoid platform following successful migration
• Optimize Kubernetes resource utilization, platform reliability, and operational costs within GCP

Requirements

• Advanced experience designing and operating production workloads on Google Cloud Platform
• Practical knowledge of observability engineering, including monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud Operations Suite
• Strong expertise managing enterprise-grade Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters
• Proven experience deploying and supporting Selenium Grid, browser automation platforms, or testing infrastructure
• Secure cloud platform design using GCP IAM, networking, and RBAC
• Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline automation
• Practical experience migrating legacy Selenium/Selenoid environments to Selenium Grid 4
• Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams in complex enterprise environments
• Exposure to cloud security, compliance requirements, and infrastructure hardening techniques
