Senior DevOps Engineer
Montrose Software is a software consultancy based in New Jersey (USA), with our primary development center in Kraków. Project description:
The project focuses on migrating financial calculation workflows from the legacy DataSynapse platform to an in-house solution built with modern cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Python, C++, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Kyvos, and Azure.

Location: Kraków / Hybrid/ Remote from Poland
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing new features in modern DevOps systems
- Debugging and resolving complex issues across distributed systems
- Participating in architectural discussions and influencing technical decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (backend, DevOps, QA)
- Writing clean, testable, and high-performance code
- Contributing to code reviews and engineering best practices
Team & Collaboration
- 3 (Montrose) + 3 on the client’s side, including developers (4) and QAs (2)
- Regular meetings: daily standups, biweekly sprint planning, biweekly retrospective, biweekly developer catchup call, 4 short biweekly backlog refinement sessions
- Communication via email and Webex chat
- Working hours: usually 12:00–20:00 CET
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Docker and containerization concepts, with hands-on experience
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Proficiency with Git
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts using Bash, Powershell, and/or Python
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and practices
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools

Salary
- UoP | 16,000 - 24,000 PLN
- B2B | 21,400 - 31,900 PLN
Recruitment Process
- Technical screening call via Google Meets (~ 30 minutes)
- Technical interview via Google Meets (~ 2 hours)
- Non-technical conversation with a member of our Recruitment Team (~ 45 minutes)
- Client interview (30–90 minutes) – this is a standard part of our recruitment process, giving you the opportunity to meet the client you'll be working with.
