About the Position

Senior Embedded IoT Developer / Tech Lead

We are seeking a Senior Embedded IoT Developer / Tech Lead with 6+ years of experience to join our tech team in Poznań, developing modern IoT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Designing the architecture of Embedded and IoT solutions and selecting appropriate technological solutions for the project.
• Technical project management and ensuring the consistency of the architecture at all stages of its development.
• Developing Embedded software in C++ and actively participating in the implementation of key functionalities.
• Planning technical work, estimating tasks, and identifying project risks.
• Collaborating with the client during requirements analysis, project workshops, and proposing optimal technical solutions.
• Leading project sessions and participating in defining architecture, data flows, and key system components.
• Performing Impact Analysis and assessing the impact of planned changes on the architecture and system quality.
• Ensuring high code quality, compliance with the adopted architecture, and the development of good programming practices.
• Conducting code reviews and supporting the team in solving complex technical problems.
• Technically coordinating the work of the Embedded team, supporting, and mentoring less experienced programmers.
• Participating in planning product development and subsequent project stages – from the conceptual phase to the production solution.

Requirements

Main Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of commercial experience in creating Embedded software.
• A desire for professional development towards the role of Tech Lead.
• Very good knowledge of C++ or C.
• Good knowledge of CMake and Git.
• Commercial experience with at least one of the microcontrollers: nRF, STM32, or ESP32 (mandatory).
• Practical experience in designing solutions and making technical decisions.
• Knowledge of good programming practices (Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns).
• Experience in code review and teamwork.
• Ability to independently lead tasks and propose solutions.
• Developed communication skills and willingness to cooperate with the client.
• Fluent English enabling smooth cooperation with the client.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, or Event Driven Architecture.
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux or FreeRTOS.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
• Practical knowledge of Python.
• Experience with BLE, MQTT, or IoT solutions.
• Knowledge of DDD (Domain Driven Design).
• Experience in conducting technical workshops or Product Discovery.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

A. Maintaining the Power Media Candidate Database and conducting recruitment processes: creating your profile in the candidate database, evaluating qualifications, matching your candidacy to job offers from our clients (including the recruitment you are applying for), and maintaining contact.
Legal basis: Your voluntary consent to be included in the candidate database (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
Retention period: 24 months from the date of application or until you withdraw your consent earlier.

B. Formal verification of candidate availability with the Client: providing the Client with a minimal amount of data (e.g., name and surname) to exclude situations where you have previously applied to this Client or with another agency.
Legal basis: Our legally justified interest and that of the Client Agency (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) to verify the absence of disputes and avoid duplication of candidate applications.
Retention period: For the time necessary to complete the verification.

C. Submission of the full application to a specific Employer: sending your CV to a selected Client after presenting its identity and obtaining your confirmation of willingness to participate in the process with that specific employer.
Legal basis: Your separate consent indicating the specific employer by name (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
Retention period: Until the application is submitted to the Client (further retention by the Client is governed by its own personal data protection policy).

D. Defense against claims and settlement of disputes: legal protection of the Company related to the provision of recruitment services.
Legal basis: Our legally justified interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Retention period: For the duration of the limitation period for any claims arising from legal provisions.

Voluntary nature of data provision:

Providing personal data is entirely voluntary, but necessary for registering a profile in the Power Media candidate database and presenting your candidacy to potential employers. You can withdraw your consent at any time (e.g., by sending an email to [email protected]), which does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal.

Recipients of data:

Your personal data may be disclosed to:

1. Clients of the Agency (Potential Employers): in the minimal scope (name and surname) to verify the absence of duplicate applications (based on our justified interest), and in the full scope of the CV – only after disclosing the full name of the Client and obtaining separate consent. From the moment of disclosure of full data, the Client becomes an independent controller of your personal data.
2. Technology service providers: entities processing data on our behalf (e.g., recruitment management system providers – ATS, hosting, and email).
3. State authorities: institutions authorized by law.

Candidate rights

You have the right to access your data, correction, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing based on a legally justified interest, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

Profiling and international transfers

As part of the candidate database, the Company may use ancillary profiling (assessment of skills, education, and experience against the criteria specified in client job offers). This profiling does not produce legal effects for you and does not make fully automated decisions (the final decision to contact is always made by a recruiter). Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
