Senior Java Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with experience in distributed systems and microservices to join our team in Warsaw, Poland. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and on-site work at our client's office.

Responsibilities

• Creating high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code
• Designing and documenting technical solutions
• Conducting unit tests and ensuring the quality of delivered software
• Participating in code reviews and refactoring existing solutions
• Collaborating with Business Analysts, IT Architects, and business stakeholders
• Mentoring and providing technical support to less experienced developers
• Actively participating in the design and development of microservices-based applications

Requirements

• Higher education in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, including data structure design, SQL query creation and optimization, transaction issues, and database locks
• Practical experience in system integration using REST, JSON, SOAP Web Services, XML, and XSD
• Experience in designing and developing distributed applications based on microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of design patterns and architectural patterns
• Experience in Code Review, code refactoring, and working with version control systems (Git, Gerrit, or similar)
• Practical knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools
• English language proficiency enabling smooth work with technical documentation
• Experience in retail banking

Nice to Have

• Experience in designing solutions using Enterprise Architect and UML
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka
