Senior Motion Designer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Motion Designer to join our crypto-fintech neobank, founded by former Tether and Binance executives. This role offers a salary of up to $8,000 per month, with a service agreement, and is available in various locations including Ubud, Bali, Barcelona, Bern, Ontario, Limassol, and more.

Responsibilities

• Motion & Video Production: Serve as the primary motion design partner for the Marketing and Product teams, creating highly engaging animations for social media, marketing videos, logo animations, and captivating outro animations.
• UI & Micro-Animations: Design and implement seamless, high-quality micro-animations for our mobile app to elevate the overall user experience and interface interactions.
• 3D Animation: Take ownership of 3D motion projects. You must be highly capable of opening Cinema 4D, importing or building 3D objects, and creating stunning, polished 3D animations from scratch.
• Motion Design System Contribution: Develop and maintain a library of motion guidelines, templates, and assets to ensure consistency in movement and pacing across all touchpoints.
• Collaborative Ideation: Work closely with product, visual design, and marketing teams to align motion graphics and video content with overall brand and project goals.
• Trend Exploration: Stay up-to-date with industry trends in motion graphics, 3D animation, and video editing, incorporating modern techniques to keep our visuals fresh and engaging.

Requirements

• Strong Visual Sensibility: You possess a profound sense and exceptional taste for visual design. You don't just move objects around; you understand composition, typography, color theory, and layout perfectly.
• 3D Animation Expert: 3D is a super important aspect of this role. You must have strong, proven proficiency in Cinema 4D and be entirely comfortable animating 3D objects and environments.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of industry-standard motion tools, primarily Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is also required to prep files for animation.
• AI Design Fluency: Must be highly proficient and fluent in current AI trends and generation tools, particularly AI video and motion tools (like Runway, Mid-journey, etc.), to align with our brand's "AI generator style."
• Portfolio (Showreel): A stunning motion reel showcasing a diverse range of high-quality work, specifically highlighting your 3D capabilities (Cinema 4D), UI micro-animations, logo animations, and dynamic video content.
• Attention to Detail: An excellent eye for detail, timing, easing, and rhythm, with a passion for creating high-quality, impactful motion concepts while adhering to our brand.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of no-code tools such as Framer or Webflow.
• Experience working in Fintech, Crypto, or Web3 startups.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and handing off animations to developers (e.g., Lottie).
