Senior Murex Tester

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Murex Tester with 6-9 years of experience in banking or capital markets to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our client, a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology center located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing for Murex applications.
• Prepare testing effort estimations for Murex implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities for CAB releases, production deployments, and implementation projects.
• Design, prepare, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and production validation activities.
• Validate application functionality following releases, upgrades, and production deployments.
• Perform defect identification, defect tracking, root cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolution with development teams.
• Collaborate with Development, Business, Infrastructure, and Project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support production issue investigations related to Murex releases and implementations.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test reports, release documentation, and quality metrics.

Requirements

• 6-9 years of experience in Murex Testing / Quality Assurance within Banking or Capital Markets.
• Strong hands-on experience with Murex applications.
• Experience in testing effort estimation and test planning.
• Experience supporting CAB releases, application upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
• Good working knowledge of SQL for data validation and testing.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java.
• Experience working in AIX, Solaris, or Open Systems environments.
• Experience executing Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
