About the Position

Join 3Shape as a Senior Project Manager for R&D Medical Devices, 3D Scanning & Diagnostics. Lead complex product development projects in a multidisciplinary team.

At 3Shape, our purpose is to improve treatment and diagnostics for dental patients worldwide. Through innovative 3D scanning solutions and software, we help dental professionals deliver better care and contribute to the digital transformation of dentistry.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the development of next-generation medical devices and 3D scanning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects from early concept through production ramp-up
• Facilitate and lead collaboration across large international cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, and stakeholder alignment
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation activities
• Drive project execution and follow-up to ensure successful delivery
• Support requirements management, traceability, and risk management activities in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
• Lead design reviews in collaboration with technical experts
• Coordinate and manage external development partners and vendors

Requirements

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field
• Experience leading new product development projects in complex technical environments - ideally at least 6-8 years of seniority in a similar position
• Experience working within R&D and/or manufacturing organizations
• Experience from regulated industries such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences, or similar fields is an advantage
• Experience in working with international medical device standards like FDA 21 CFR 820 & EU MDR and ISO 13485 is a clear advantage
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to balance technical, commercial, and organizational considerations
• A project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an advantage
