Your Focus Area
Transformation rarely fails due to the plan. It often fails due to priorities, dependencies, and lack of decision-making. That's where your role begins.
As a (Senior) Project Manager, you will guide our clients through complex financial and IT projects with high-quality consulting services. You will bring together different worlds: At the management level, you will advise, act as the central contact person between departments and IT, and lead projects through their entire lifecycle. Together, we will drive business transformation.
Depending on your background, you will either work for our clients in the banking environment, connected industries, or the public sector.
Your Responsibilities at x1F
- Project Steering with Result Responsibility: In complex transformation projects, you will keep time, budget, quality, and risks securely under control. From conception to successful implementation.
- Transformation Initiative: With innovative solution approaches, you will improve processes and support clients in modernizing their system and organizational landscapes.
- Business-IT Interface: You will manage IT solutions confidently as an interface between business, strategy, and IT. This ensures that technical visions are realized.
- Strategic Vision: As a sparring partner for the board, department heads, and decision-makers, you will understand strategic objectives, formulate clear action recommendations, and actively support decisions.
- Governance & Reporting: You will keep an eye on robust control mechanisms, risk and dependency management, and transparent reporting structures.
- Growth & Customer Development: You will actively expand existing customer relationships and identify strategic opportunities for new projects and consulting services.
Skills You Bring
- Transformation Experience: Several years of leading complex transformation or large-scale projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Your specialty is the banking environment OR connected industries/public sector or an infrastructural environment.
- Expertise in One of Two Sectors:
- Banking: Deep understanding of banking processes and IT architectures, translating complex requirements into implementable solution designs.
- Connected/Public Sector: Deep understanding of administrative logics, complex stakeholder structures, and translating technical and technological requirements into robust implementation models.
- Management Competence: Confident advice to executives, board members, and program managers at the management level.
- Method Strength: Solid knowledge of agile and classical project and transformation methods, including project, program, and risk management.
- Network: Robust market and stakeholder connections in the banking environment OR connected industries/public sector.
- Languages: Very good German skills (C2) and proficient English skills (C1).
- Mobility: High willingness to travel within Germany and to neighboring countries.
