Senior Rigging Artist

About the Position

Lakshya Digital, a Keywords Studio, is looking for experienced Senior Rigging Artists to join our team and work on AAA game titles. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, India, Lakshya Digital is a renowned game art studio with a rich history of creating art for over a hundred game titles, including global hits like Bloodborne, Dark Souls II, and Just Cause 3.

Responsibilities

• Study task specifications and client briefs thoroughly before starting work.
• Provide a list of queries to the Lead for task clarification.
• Work closely with the Lead to estimate task efforts accurately.
• Ensure clarity on task specifications, timelines, and approach.
• Identify the approach and set daily work targets before starting a task.
• Collect adequate references before commencing work.
• Create controls for animation, rigging, and skinning of characters and props.
• Provide daily updates on task status to the Lead/sub-Lead.
• Follow organization-mandated best practices and work processes.
• Deliver high-quality work with zero QC errors and minimal iterations.

Requirements

• Graduate with 4+ years of professional experience in character setup and rigging.
• Strong ability to build custom biped, quadruped, facial, and mechanical rigs.
• Good understanding of anatomy for both human/biped and animal/quadruped characters.
• Proficient in Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, and 3ds Max.
• Strong understanding of the game art production pipeline.
• Good working knowledge of MEL or Python scripting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Background in visual arts/design with a solid understanding of form, geometry, and movement.
• Additional skills in related areas such as modeling, texturing, or animation are a plus.
• Passionate gamer with experience playing a wide variety of video games.
