The Boeing Integrated Fires Protection Capability 2nd Interceptor (IFPC-2) program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Systems Engineer for IFPC-2, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure the successful design and test of the IFPC-2 Interceptor to meet the performance, reliability, and safety requirements of the system. The SE team will be responsible for the development and adherence of the System level requirements and the interfaces across the missile system to include interceptor, Engagement Calculator, and magazine.
Responsibilities
- Supports a culture of proactive technical oversight, risk management, and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issues.
- Develops requirements, functional architecture, and interfaces for the IFPC-2 Interceptor Subsystem.
- Guides the design of products to ensure they meet both contractual requirements and program objectives/guiding principles.
- Performs system-level analysis and trade studies to shape the development of the IFPC-2 System.
- Guides the technical path for product definition and execution.
- Drives System Integration for IFPC-2 – drives coordination between IPTs and Program technical staff.
- Accountable to SEIT Lead and Program Chief Engineers.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience with executing engineering in support of program milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc).
- 5+ years of engineering experience in development and production programs.
- Experience presenting various levels of technical data to customers.
- Fundamental knowledge of interceptor missile systems and components including radar systems, seeker CONOPs, propulsion systems, and/or missile architectures.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Familiarity with technical proposal development.
- Familiarity with HWIL and Flight Test design, equipment, and validation.
- Familiarity with interceptor models & simulations.
