Senior Tech Operations Specialist (all genders)

Distribusion Technologies is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace, providing seamless access to ground transportation online. We connect bus, rail, and ferry operators in over 70 countries with major online retailers like Google Maps and Booking.com. We are seeking a Senior Technical Operations Specialist to join our Control Room team. You will manage escalations, ensure seamless communication, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operational Ownership: Ensure smooth and efficient processes across the business.
• Incident Management & Resolution: Lead the management of escalations and incidents, driving swift resolutions.
• Problem-Solving & Innovation: Conduct in-depth technical investigations and collaborate in designing solutions.
• Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analysis to validate hypotheses and identify optimization opportunities.
• Strategic Project Leadership: Support and lead strategic and operational projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement key improvements in our product and tech systems.
• Tool & Process Development: Work with the operations team to build, implement, and refine tools and processes.
• Effective Communication: Manage internal and external communication effectively, collaborating across teams.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience in 2nd and 3rd level Technical support, IT Analyst, Monitoring roles, etc.
• Ability to detect root cause of incidents and provide high-level solution design.
• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on long-term risk prevention and mitigation strategies.
• Comfortable with investigating complex SQL queries and relational databases.
• Ability to develop strategies to predict, prevent, and address potential technical and operational bottlenecks.
• Experience with Jira and Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or other monitoring tools is a big plus.
• Fluent in English with the ability to unravel complexity in a simple and understandable manner.
• Analytical, independent, and tech-savvy.
• Comfortable with fast-paced environments and heavy context switching.

Nice to Have

• Experience with BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
