About the Position
Senior.NET Software Developer
Type of contract: Full-time
Place of work: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
The Opportunity
EmbedIT Vietnam is expanding its engineering team to deliver large-scale enterprise platforms and digital solutions for financial institutions across Southeast Asia.
As a Senior.NET Software Engineer, you will design and build backend services powering critical business processes, integrations, and mobile applications. You will work in a modern engineering environment combining scalable microservices with stable core systems, ensuring both innovation and reliability.
This role offers strong exposure to cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and collaboration with international teams across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern.NET (preferably.NET 6/8+)
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs to support scalable systems and integrations
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in production environments
- Contribute to system design, including microservices and cloud-native architectures
- Work with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Analysts, and Product Owners across the delivery lifecycle
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and documentation
- Continuously improve systems by adopting modern technologies, CI/CD, and reducing technical debt
Requirements
Mandatory
- 6+ years of experience in backend development with.NET
- Strong experience in building RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of software design principles and clean code practices
- Hands-on experience or exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes exposure is a plus
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., CosmosDB, MongoDB) or relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
Nice to have
- Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably Azure, but AWS/GCP also acceptable)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
- Experience with distributed systems concepts (e.g., caching, messaging, pub/sub)
- Knowledge of Redis or other caching mechanisms
