About the Position

Join our BOLD Platform services team as a Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer/ Module Lead- Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.

About the Team

The BOLD Platform services team designs, creates, manages, and maintains highly scalable and distributed services for web and mobile product applications/portals/websites. Our services are based on Microservices architecture, covering domains such as visitor tracking, user profiles, authentication, content, and payments.

We use state-of-the-art modern technologies like.Net framework, Python, Java, SQL Server, MySQL, Graph DB, SOLR, and many other tools and technologies to serve millions of users with hundreds of millions of transactions every day through a scalable and fault-tolerant architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize APIs (REST, gRPC, and GraphQL) for high performance and scalability.
• Experience in Reactive programming.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security in production environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in coding, testing, and cloud development.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, and Kinesis.
• Proficiency in GraphQL API development.
• Strong background in AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, Auto Scaling, API Gateway, etc.).
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed system design.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with Solr/OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
