Staff Software Engineer (all genders)

Distribusion Technologies is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace, connecting travelers with seamless access to ground transportation online. We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Offers team, contributing to our main API product that enables large retailers to purchase tickets from bus and rail carriers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go.
• Design foundational infrastructure for high-throughput microservices.
• Help design and build scalable, automated delivery systems using our AI stack.
• Own the technical backlog and success metrics, coordinating cross-functional work.
• Resolve technical bottlenecks and guide teams to build solutions that maximize business value.
• Lead company-wide technology adoption and agile engineering processes.
• Elevate the team's technical capabilities by upskilling peers in Go best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in Golang.
• Deep architectural mastery of high-throughput distributed systems, microservices, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Ability to translate complex technical decisions into business metrics.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Ruby or Python.
